Assisted Living
Morning
Pointe of Colledgedale at Greenbriar Cove opened
in August 2006. The assisted living facility offers programs that
help overcome the challenges of senior living. Whether a resident
requires a comforting hand on occasion, or a full assistance program,
each amenity is customized to provide the right care with dignity.
Care is also offered for those who need assisted living on a short-term
basis due to a medical procedure, or when a caregiver is unable
to provide daily assistance due to an illness or vacation schedule.
The scope of service provides residents with the resources they need to ensure a healthy lifestyle. Resources such as: Wellcare Program; around the clock professional staff; resident assistants; handicapped accessible suites; emergency call pendants; nutritious dining program; health, wellness and medication monitoring; planned activities and scheduled trips; and educational and religious programs. Resident comfort and lifestyle enrichment is achieved by beautifully landscaped grounds, large resident visiting areas, inclusive utilities, individual climate controlled rooms, telephone and cable television, housekeeping and laundry services, onsite salon services and onsite pharmacy and security services.
Alzheimer's/Memory Care
At The Lantern, activity-focused care is the keystone of the program. The facility is exclusively designed for the specialized care of those living with Alzheimer’s or memory loss disorders. Rooms, colors, activities and monitoring have been developed to optimize independence and quality of life. The daily living environment is modified to enhance independence and motivation. Residents are nurtured wholly in mind, body and spirit through meaningful activities. Individualized services provide residents with lifestyle elements vital to their connection with the past and present.
Choices include residential services and day care; secured residence, courtyard and gardens; home-like social areas; private suites; family-style dining; dynamic programs to preserve skills; therapeutic interaction with groups; meaningful activities to connect present and past; medication and wellness management; and specially trained staff and support services.
Families are strongly encouraged to participate in decisions and activities. The Lantern programs provide the best care for residents and support for the family. Research-based assessments and activities support optimal functioning and ensure success for the center of excellence. In cooperation with the Alzheimer’s Association, The Lantern provides essential supportive assistance through educational programs and workshops, family support groups, special family activities with residents and innovative memory loss approaches.
